Call to any mobile for free from pc.

This is another of the few tricks i tested and liked.

Using yahoo messenger and google free 411 toll free service.

1. Start yahoo messenger, log in and use the dialer to dial 18003733411.

2. When prompted to choose country, choose only UNITED STATES.

3. The call will connect to a voice system welcomeing you to free411 service.

4. Wait for the prompt to ask for free call.

5. Once the IVR prompts asking for freecall, say "FREE CALL" into your mike.

6. The prom't will conform free calling and will prompt you to dial a number.

7. Dial the number you want to talk to with country code first. The IVR will conform 5minutes free call and will connect you.

NOTE: Every call will be cut after 5 minutes, but you can repeatedly call same number any number of times.

Some gulf countries cant be called to but can call from anywhere.

Said to work also with skype, but i havent tested yet.

Happy calling

Use bolt Browser to download any image from orkut.

The bitstream bolt Browser can be used to download any image from orkut even though right click save is disabled.

All you have to do is download and instal bolt Browser in your gprs enabled mobile and login to orkut.

Now place the cursor in the browser over the image to be downloaded.

Then select
menu>page tools>
download image.
Select location to save.

There won't be any download bar or any indication of a download happening, Don't worry, just continue your browsing and in sometime a msg will appear "download completed".

You can hence download images from any open album in orkut.
Try not to abuse this trick:-).

PSPGo specifications for now.

It didn't take long after news of the PSP Go leaked on to the web for more information to emerge. Sony has been setting up its display booths at E3, and close-up pictures of the PSP Go have already surfaced. There are still many unanswered questions about the device, for which we will have to wait forSony's official report. Anyway here are the speculations PSP Go! Specifications: 1. 3.8" screen. 2. 43% lighter than previous version. 3. 16 GB on-board flash memory. 4. Bluetooth support. 5. No UMD drive. 6. Memory Stick Micro support. 7. Download games and movies via Playstation Store. 8. Single analog stick My views: I feel more comfortable with the older design of PSP 3000. 16GB all sounds cool but are they gona eat into our pocket for games? There are rumors that there might not be a usb port. Dam that would be a sheer waste of a gadget then. Hope its not TRUE:)

For the unluck few who upgraded to ofw 5.50. A ray of hope.

Seems to be a rumor but it's not been proven fake or otherwise. So i
thought of posting about it. Looks like a German user Miche2245 has
found a save game vulnerability in Firmware 5.50. Apparently Monster
Hunter Portable 2 (JAP) and Need for Speed: Underground (ENG) are the
only reported UMD games to be working at this stage with the save game
exploit.

If you are on OFW 5.50 and have Need for Speed: Underground English
UMD, why not download the exploit and give it a go? Once the exploit
works (if it works) You can then load upChickHEN R2and Custom Firmware
Enabler 3.5. After all that work make sure you just put your PSP into
standby mode. Oh and do comment back with some solid proof that this
works!

Most Mod Sites are mum on this issue. In the meanwhile PSP 3000 lovers are having a great time playing their beloved ISOs on Their PSP.

Too bad for Davee and team who were so against ISO compateblity when they forgot that Enabling HEN itself was illegal:)

Do you know what SIM in your SIM card stands for?

The Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) is a small smart card which contains both programming and information.InGSMnetworks, the A3 and A8 algorithms are implemented in the Subscriber Identity Module.Subscriber information, such as theIMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity), is stored in the SIM.
The Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) can also be used to store user-defined information such as phonebook entries.One of the advantages of the GSM architecture is that the SIM may be moved from one Mobile Station to another. This makes upgrading mobile telephhones very simple for the GSM user.

Cellphone jammers

With so many people using cell phones these days, one of the devices that have popped- up on the market are cell phone jammers. Be advised that cell phone jammers are usually black market devices, since using them is illegal in most countries.

However, for those that are tired of hearing endless cell phone conversations or constantly being interrupted by incessant cell phone ring tones, a cell phone jammer seems like the perfect device to own.How Cell Phone Jammers WorkCell phone jammers work in a similar way to radio jammers by sending out the same radio frequencies that cell phones operate on. Doing so creates enough interference so that a call can not connect with a cell phone. There are two types of cell phone jammers currently available. The first type are usually smaller devices that block the signals coming from cell phone towers to indidual cell phones. The frequency blocked is somewhere between 800MHz and 1900MHz. Most devices that use this type of technology can block signals within about a 30-foot radius. Cell phones within this range simply show no signal.The second type of cell phone jammer is usually much larger in size and more powerful. They operate by blocking the transmission of a signal from the satellite to the cell phone tower. Some powerful models can block cell phone transmissions within a 5 mile radius. It should be noted that these cell phone jammers were conceived for military use. Once again, it should be noted that operating or even owning a cell phone jammer is illegal in most places.

Do not fall for all the free tricks blindly.

Please do not fall for free texting sms center numbers given in blog's and forums. The mobile providers are smart and not only block such centers but also put a heavy pricing tag on them. One of my friends tried a so called free sms center and for a single msg sent, he was charged 5rs.

Free stuff is good. But use wisely:-)

Remote control using a cell phone from anywhere in the world

GSM-AUTO have recently launched a remote control system using the GSM mobile/cell phone network.
The GSM-AUTO is a wireless gsm remote control switch that connects to the GSM cell phone network.It is activated by calling its cell phone number, it will reject the call without answering and switch on the device connected to itsource.
There are no call costs incurred when dialling the unit, it will recognise an authorised telephone number calling it and reject the call without answeringIt has 2 independent switches, these can be programmed to switch on for a pre-determined length of time whenever the GSM-AUTO is It has 2 independent switches, these can be programmed to switch on for a pre-determined length of time whenever the GSM-AUTO is called, alternatively the switches can be permanently switched on or off by sending the GSM-AUTO a sms text message.

Man thats what i call technology at it best:-) Im getting some smart ideas to put this switch in use. Any ideas viewers:-)?

Tried and tested facts about AIRTEL free gprs trick (EXCLUSIVE)

Free gprs with AIRTEL LIVE is working fine in my place mangalore. But there are some glitches.

1. It works only in UCWEB and some times is TEASHARK, and not in the PHONE BROWSER or OPERA MINI

2. Only surfing can be done for free. When you attempt to download AIRTEL detects your ip and charges.

3. Keep your balance BELLOW RS1. Yeah thats right, preferably 0.09 or something.

4. As far as i know, none of the so called free unlimited download tricks are not working.

NOTE: ucweb is a server based browser with its servers in china. thats the only reason why AIRTEL is unable to detect while surfing.

But when you attempt to download, the files are attached to detectable download servers.

enjoy the free surfing:-)

A serious virus alert.

Anti-virus companyKaspersky Labshas identified a trojan known asSMS.Python.Flocker, which is spread by Bluetooth and text messaging and is already circulating in Russia, India and Indonesia.

And it is expected to be just the first of a spate of mobile threats to emerge this year, with cyber criminals turning to phones now that people are more aware of PC threats and internet security.

It would only take one call to an Australian mobile from an infected handset for the virus to spread.

The virus code, written for the Symbian operating system used by most mobiles, secretly texts a premium number. That service then bills an amount ranging from 40c to 90c. You probably wouldn't question 90c or even notice it if you text a lot, but when this code infects thousands of phones it adds up to quite a bit of money.

People can avoid infection by turning off automatic bluetooth settings. But the thing is they're usually on by default and some people don't check them. There have been five variants of the virus since it began circulating a few months ago. Older mobiles used relatively simple operating systems that were difficult to exploit because they did not have a wide range of capabilities. But with the latest smartphones all having internet access, Bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity, it means malicious code can more easily spread. Australian software companies are planning to release anti-virus protection for mobile phones later this year.

So stay safe. Use your connectivity options wisely. Your phone is your pride, protect it.

Want free java games and applications?

Mobile carriers offer games and applications for download from their portals, for a price. But there is an alternative, an amazing number of mobile Java games and applications are available for free. Freeware and Open Source downloads have been around for years and recently there has been an explosion of ad-supported mobile games offered by several sites. Here are my favorite sites for free Java downloads.

These range from simple games and utilities created by hobbyists to some quite sophisticated programs.

Mobile phones and health...

Despite its many advantages, a mobile phone often triggers a series of health risks when used carelessly. The direct exposure to a it often ends up gifting you ailments like dizziness, headaches, loss of concentration, mood swings etc, thanks to its non-thermal effects.
Such complications might be of trivial importance for you, but researches say that even dreading diseases like cancer can be caused. Moreover, there are strict warnings for a pregnant woman to reduce the careless use of her mobile.The radiation might cause genetic and birth defects to the baby inside. Would you believe that a hypersensitive person can fall sick if kept for a while near a cellphone. Such is the ill-effect of the hazardous ionizing radiation of electromagnetic waves, it generates.Thus next time when you lift up your mobile to mingle with your near and dear ones, don't put your life at stake. Because, this small technological gift, aimed to shorten the distances between the relations, should not be allowed to cut down the span of your life, at all.

What do you need to do forRadiation Free Mobile Usage? Keep It Away : It is always better to maintain a distance from your phone , so try to get adapted to the use of a hands-free communication equipment. In the process, you are free from the constant hazardous radiation which is a natural feature of a mobile phone. Definitely, you will not fall prey to many health risks.

If you tend to cover your mobile phone completely with your fingers while talking, you better leave this habit. This results in lowering its capacity to deal with the signals. It mars the performance of your cellphone. Thus it starts using its maximum capacity to enhance its performance. This causes excessive radiation. So hold it from its lower end, using the fingertips only.

Congested basements or rooms with few openings weaken the signals of a mobile. Thus there starts increased radiation which aggravates health risks. So if you happen to work at such places, come out of them while you are receiving or making a call.

looks like ill be the first one to die then cos i use my phone like crazy:-)

How MMC cards get corruptted

Physically, memory cards are quite fragile pieces of high technology, susceptible to damage from various silly things like excessive heat, condensation, strong magnetic fields, physical damage from rough handling and/or bending. Given the natue of mobile memory card products, they are constantly being taken in and out of some form of interface with a mobile phone, a camera, a laptop, or desktop PC, or a separate memory card reader. The number of different devices they have to be able to interact with is in the thousands. It is not too surprisingly, then that sometimes the state of the file system on the memory card can get damaged. This may happen for a number of different reasons, including: - Removing the card from a device whilst an application is trying to read/write to it. - Battery drain on a device whilst in use meaning an insufficent voltage failure whilst writing to the card. - Poor implementation of the MMC standard on the device using the card. - Poor connectivity software drivers on the device or the Windows PC/Mac. - Physical damage like card or device being dropped, bent, getting wet etc. As often as not, the problem is not terminal for your memory card, but just a software issue ( or in physical terms, it could be called "a temporary disalignment of the all the bits and bytes on the card"). The fix for this problem is the same as for any other file storage device (like a floppy or hard drive) with corrupt or invalid file system, namely; re-format the file system.

Free gprs in Idea india network

Follow the simple procedure to enjoy free idea gprs trick.

The trick here lies in the fact that you are actually fooling the server system into indecision. Just follow the steps and you will come to know how to fool the computer.

1. Send GP13 to 444.

2. Send the same message again after few hours and you will get a reply that your request is already in the queue for execution.

3. And after a day or so you will find that your gprs has been activated for the second time.

4. Then send request for deactivation, send NOGP13 to 4444 and again after few hours send the message again.

One thing you should keep in mind is that you must restart your phone after each message you send and once you are through with all these steps and you are lucky enough then you may enjoy free idea gprs on your mobile and on your pc too. I will again reemphasis on the fact that the service providers carefully monitor these free hacks and tricks and update their system regularly. So most of the times it depends on your luck whether the settings work or not.

For your assistance I am writing some proxies:

Please take care that you should use UCweb or opera mini while browsing from your phone and use opera or smart web while browsing through your pc.
Finally! Yahoo Messenger is now available for free on the iPhone. It may not be the most popular instant messaging program out there, but users can now run a tailored version of it on the iPhone. You’ll be able to do some of the same things enabled for desktop computers; which should be no surprise to anyone having used it. Sadly though, just as with other apps on the iPhone, it won’t run in the background fully. Instead, it will keep you logged in for ten minutes while displaying you as idle to other people. Once the ten minutes are up, you’ll need to log back in order to stay active. Anyway, they at least put some effort into the look and feel of the app.

Android powered netbooks?????

In a news story that’s, frankly, surprising no-one, Mobile Today is reporting that Google Android may well be coming to a laptop near you, very soon. More specifically, we may well be seeing it enter the so-called netbook market, currently dominated by the likes of the Asus Eee PC (or Eeeeeee-by-gum PC, as I call it), the Acer Aspire series, and the Dell Inspiron Mini 9.

So, as well as seeing it soon on the HTC Magic, and upcoming phones from LG and Samsung, it seems more than likely that it’ll be wending its merry way over to lickle mini laptops (or laptots, as I’ve seen various commenters call them) in the not too distant future.

But then, a lot of people (most notably, to me anyway, my very good friend and personal IT guru, codenamed “Bulldog, guard-hound of the interkennel”) are speculating whether that was the plan all along…

Think about it, who’s Google’s arch-nemesis? Well, granted, they probably have more than one, but right up there on that list has got to be the gang from Redmond… Microsoft… who just so happen to still control the lion’s share of the PC market, despite inroads made by Linux and Apple’s OSX.

So, could it be possible that Google only really got into the mobile market in order to give Android a stronger foundation, before they moved it to the PC world, and took the fight to Microsoft? Well, probably not, since they’d probably want to milk the mobile market for all it’s worth, as well (and yes, it’s growing in worth every, single day), but one can’t help but speculate that their long-term goal was getting it on phones and PCs, in order to firmly smack Microsoft in the gob.

Of course, since netbook-y type laptops and smartphones aren’t a million miles away from each other, one could also speculate that Android getting involved could lead to even more convergence, with an uber-device that is both a smartphone and a laptop…

Time will tell…

Most network providers have download limits. Like Airtel India limits up to 2051KB as maximum size of a single file that can be downloaded using their gprs service from any web site. But dont ya worry. I use this application to download larger files. No limit at all.

The wonder application is UCweb.jar. Its got a built download manager:-)

LG KC910 Review

     The LG KC910 has a moniter that sends out a bold and clear statement about talent. Packing a whopping 8 megapixel camera and top-of-the-line video recording, the LG KC910 Renoir is all about capturing the moment, leaving an impression. While this alone should be enough to assert an identity, the Renoir just won’t stop there. With the full touch user interface and the portly 3″ display, everything is a mere touch away. Wi-Fi, HSDPA and GPS are all aboard to add the last bits of oomph to the feature-loaded LG Renoir.

The exciting facts and figures from the Renoir specs sheet however won’t really give away its real-life performance and this is where we step in. We already had the camera performance of the LG Renoir to bits in our 8 megapixel cameraphone shootout but it’s time to move up and look at the bigger picture.

Key features:

* Quad-band GSM, HSDPA 2100 MHz
* 3″ 256K-color touchscreen TFT display (240 x 400 pixels)
* 8 megapixel autofocus camera, xenon flash (geo-tagging, face tracking, blink detection, touch focus, manual focus)
* Video recording in AVI format, VGA@30fps, QVGA@120fps, time-lapse QVGA videos
* Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
* Wi-Fi
* GPS receiver with A-GPS support
* TV-out
* 100MB internal memory
* Hot-swappable microSD card slot (ships with 8GB card)
* Accelerometer for auto screen rotate
* DivX/XviD video playback
* Dolby Mobile music enhancement
* FM radio with RDS
* Office document viewer
* Multi-tasking with a real task manager
* Handwriting recognition
* Excellent touch optimized image gallery
* Direct video uploads to YouTube
Main disadvantages:
* Xenon flash is inadequately powered and causes the camera to underexpose
* Fullscreen camera viewfinder doesn’t show the entire frame
* No video streaming over Wi-Fi (such as the mobile YouTube)
* No Java connection over Wi-Fi (so Google Maps needs a data plan)
* No voice-guided GPS navigation
* Stylus as dongle only, no stylus compartment
* Design will not appeal to everyone
LG Renoir is among the few 8 megapixel cameraphones that are already on the market and chances are you have been eyeing it big time for this year’s holiday shopping - especially if you are into big touchscreens.
It builds on the Viewty popularity but does walk its own path, adding a number of innovations to the equation. The feel and overall experience is different - and better - with LG Renoir.
I guess we’re looking at one of the most obvious rivalries in the game. The main competitor of the Renoir full-featured multimedia package is non other than Samsung Pixon. Both share the touchscreen form factor and will probably appeal to the same kind of users.
Choosing between them is a tough call. The Pixon has more camera-centric looks and is certainly a match for the Renoir imaging skill. Both have similar price tags and, while the Pixon lacks Wi-Fi connectivity, it makes up some with slightly bigger screen estate, better widgets, WVGA video recording and quad-band GSM support (which most Renoirs on the market reportedly lack).
Make your own choices:)

Sony Ericsson W508, New and Flashy

The Sony Ericsson W508 is a Walkman clamshell that comes with eight interchangeable StyleUp covers (one extra cover included in the retail pack) plus the well-known Walkman features such as external music keys, Shake control, SenseMe and TrackID. The built-in accelerometer also allows for screen auto rotation and motion gaming.

Additionally, the nice looking W508 comes with Gesture control much like the Sony Ericsson W380. Gesture control allows you to mute calls or silence the wake-up alarm with a wave of your hand.

The Sony Ericsson W508 has a 2.2-inch QVGA main display plus a monochromatic scratch-resistant 1.1-inch external OLED one with a resolution of 128 x 36 pixels. The device is also supposed to offer 24 hours of constant music playback. Threaded SMS/MMS (conversation style messaging) is also included as with all other Sony Ericsson phones announced today.

A 3.2 megapixel fixed focus camera, quad-band GSM support, HSDPA, FM radio with RDS and 1GB M2 card completes the Sony Ericsson W508 spec sheet.

The Sony Ericsson W508 is expected to hit the market from Q2 2009 in both Metal Grey and Poetic White color versions. In either version it will have one extra Style-Up cover in one of eight the available colors: Sunny Orange, Forest Green, Architectural Purple, Mysterious Graffiti, Midnight Summer, Splashed Art, Radial Blue or Street Hip-hop

Sony Ericsson W715 Announcement

The Sony Ericsson W715 is a Wi-Fi/GPS-enabled slider made exclusively for Vodafone, while the Sony Ericsson W508 is a Walkman clamshell with 3 megapixel snapper plus Shake and Gesture control.

The Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman phone is practically identical to the Sony Ericsson G705. Wi-Fi (with DLNA), GPS receiver, a 3 megapixel snapper with geotagging and an accelerometer that allows for auto screen rotation and motion gaming are its main selling points.

Additionally, the W715 is loaded with Walkman goodies such as the

@latest Walkman music player,
@TrackID,
@SenseMe and Shake control.
@Threaded SMS/MMS (conversation style messaging) is among the latest Sony Ericsson features that’s   also on board the W715.

As i already said, the Sony Ericsson W715 is made exclusively for Vodafone and uses their turn-by-turn navigation solution called Vodafone Find&Go (as well as Google Maps).
The Sony Ericsson W715 has quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support plus dual-band UMTS/HSPA 9100/1200 connectivity.

The Vodafone exclusive Sony Ericsson W715 will be available in Galactic Black and Luxury Silver. Country availability is yet to be announced.

Nokia E63 review: E for Economy

Nokia E63 is the next QWERTY messenger by Nokia, set on the glorious path of the E71. Only this time it slips off the high heels to walk it in plain straight and simple boots instead. And the matching price tag leaves little doubt of what this Working Joe here is all about.

No fancy spoils, the Nokia E63 means business and brings connectivity and messaging together in a sharp and reliable package. Certainly a no-thrills mobile, the E63 does its jobs with no fuss and at a fair wage. Well, who would frown at that?

Now, comparisons to E71 are clearly inevitable and maybe we know better than expect Nokia E63 to impress us as much. But who says it can’t persuade through common sense.

So the lucky, go get it:)

SanDisk 16GB microSD and M2 cards get presumably faster

SanDisk will start shipping this month two new memory cards from the Mobile Ultra line. The 16GB microSD and M2 units will be bundled with MobileMate Micro Reader for easy USB connection.

SanDisk announced their new memory cards - 16GB microSD and 16GB M2 from the Mobile Ultra lineup. They will be available to the world this month.

These two new additions to the removable memory products are not the first with this huge capacity. Class 2 16GB memory cards are already available on the market. According to SanDisk the new Mobile Ultra cards promise faster transfer speeds and access times.

The suggested retail price is $120 for the microSD and $130 for the M2 one, which is twice as much as the price of the regular Class 2 cards.

The price difference is even more harsh having in mind that SanDisk are not actually claiming that these cards qualify for a higher class. And we really doubt they are twice as fast as the current products. Still, if speed is what you’re after at all costs, you might as well give them a try as these cards have an extra selling point - a 10-year limited warranty.
